Among the architectural monuments of Ostroh Lutsk, the gate tower occupies a special place.

For many years it served as a key defensive structure in the western part of the city fortifications on the part of Lutsk. The tower simultaneously served as a city gate and a protective structure.

Today the Ostroh Museum of the History of Books and Book Printing is located in the walls of the Lutsk Tower, where a large collection of original manuscripts and old prints is collected.
