Near the village archaeological sites of early Iron Age, Cherniahivs'ka culture of ancient times were discovered. In 2 miles from the village Napadivky Napadovetska grave or mound is situated. It is so high that Pochayiv Lavra in 40 miles is visible. On the banks of the Gorin bloody battles often took place during the princely feuds, raids of Crimean Tatars. The bones of dead soldiers are buried, according to the legend, in this mound. In 1831, during the excavations, there were found swords.

This Napadiv grave in 1831 served as the burial of people who died from cholera. The burial mound was also used as an observation post. The guards stood there and once the Tatars appeared, they gave the villagers a possiblity to know about the attack. Once suffered from such an attack, the villagers fled to Napadiv low place bordering with the Borsukiv natural boundary and in this cozy place Napadivka village was formed - on the right bank of the Gorin River.
