The oldest wooden temple in Kovel is the Roman Catholic Church of St. Anne (1771), brought from the village of Vyshenki, Rozhishche District. The shape of the temple is unique. It consists of two towers that tend to be more typical of masonry architecture. In Ukraine there are only two wooden double-towered churches, dating from the 18th century. One of them is situated in Kovel.
